IIJS Bharat Signature 2027
IIJS Bharat Signature 2027 runs from 7 to 10 January 2027 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai. Organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council, it is India's flagship January jewellery trade show, with around 1,600 exhibitors and 25,000 trade visitors covering diamonds, gemstones, gold jewellery and lab-grown diamonds.

Who attends
Buyers are retail jewellers, chain store buyers and wholesalers from across India, with an international contingent sourcing Indian manufacturing. The trade is relationship-driven and repeat-heavy: many people walking your stand bought from you last season. That makes accurate capture more valuable than at a prospecting show, because what you want is not just a new name but an updated one, with the right buyer at the right firm and a record of what they looked at this time.

Working the floor
- Security at jewellery shows is tight and phone use is sometimes restricted at the stand. Check the rules before relying on any capture method, and have a fallback.
- Buyers move in small groups and often hand over one card for several people. Ask who else is attending from the firm rather than assuming the card covers the room.
- January is peak buying season and the floor is busy from opening. There is little quiet time for admin, so capture has to happen in the moment.
- Much of the trade still runs on printed cards and handwritten order notes. Photographing both together keeps the context attached to the contact.
