Export CSV

Select all, or just one event and download a CSV that opens in Excel with clean headers and consistent columns.

Exactly the columns a spreadsheet person wants

Karo's export is built for people who live in Excel. Every CSV has stable, predictable headers:

  • First, middle and last name in separate columns (no "full name" splitting formulas)
  • Job title, company, email, phone, website
  • Event name so you can pivot leads by conference
  • Context notes and the full voice-note transcript
  • Capture date and status

Numbers and emails are extracted as typed on the card, so VLOOKUPs and mail merges work without a cleanup pass.

Why not just photograph cards and type them later?

Because later never comes. The average pile of 50 cards takes over two hours to type accurately and studies of sales teams consistently show most collected cards are never entered anywhere. Karo moves the work to the moment of capture, where it costs ten seconds, and the spreadsheet builds itself while the event is still happening.

Google Sheets, mail merges, and beyond

The same CSV drops straight into Google Sheets (File → Import), feeds a Word or Gmail mail merge for follow-ups, and imports into any CRM later if your process grows. Your data is never locked in, export everything, any time, with one click.

Frequently asked questions

Does the export open directly in Excel?+

Yes, it's a standard UTF-8 CSV with clean headers. Double-click it and Excel (or Numbers, or LibreOffice) opens one contact per row with every field in its own column.

Which fields end up in the spreadsheet?+

First/middle/last name, job title, company, email, phone, website, event name, context notes, the voice-note transcript, capture date and review status.

Can I export only some contacts?+

Yes. Tick the contacts you want, or search by event or company first and export just that selection. Unselected exports include everything.

How accurate is the extraction?+

Every scan gets a confidence score. High-confidence scans are typically letter-perfect; anything uncertain is flagged for a quick review with the card photo alongside, so errors don't sneak into your sheet.

Can I edit data before exporting?+

Yes, every field is editable in the dashboard, or fix it at capture time by replying to the bot with e.g. "email: jane@acme.com".
